Advising and consulting: Knowledge professionals offer advice and consultation services to organizations and individuals on how best to use information and knowledge resources to achieve their goals.

Library and information science professionals can be considered as knowledge professionals because they possess specialized skills and expertise in managing, organizing, and providing access to information and knowledge resources.
